विवाह जुळवताना वधू-वरांच्या जन्म नक्षत्र आणि राशीवरून आठ घटकांचे (अष्टकूट) गुण मोजले जातात. एकूण ३६ गुण असतात.

किती गुण जुळावे?

सामान्यतः १८ पेक्षा जास्त गुण जुळले तर स्थळ योग्य मानले जाते, तर २४ पेक्षा जास्त गुण चांगले समजले जातात. मात्र ही परंपरागत समजूत आहे; अंतिम निर्णयासाठी तुमच्या कुटुंबातील जाणकार किंवा ज्योतिषी यांचा सल्ला घ्यावा.

How many points should match?

Traditionally, a score above 18 is considered acceptable and above 24 good. This is a traditional rule of thumb; for a final decision, consult a knowledgeable elder or astrologer in your family.
